Nato members agree China poses ‘constant security challenge’

The 30 nations of Nato have today agreed that China poses a “constant security challenge” and it threatens to undermine the global rules-based system.

For the first time in the history of the alliance, Nato leaders laid out their stance on China, but taking a tough line is diplomatically difficult, with cooperation needed on climate change and economic opportunities too.
