Mum and two sons who died with Coronavirus

In south Wales, the funerals have taken place of a mother and her two sons who died from coronavirus within five days of each other.

Their coffins were carried in hearses through the village of Pentre, which is in an area with one of the highest rates of Covid deaths in England and Wales.

The emotional impact on communities, which are also facing the growing financial consequences of this pandemic, is becoming ever more stark.
