MPs have just thrown out Boris Johnson’s latest attempt to force a  General Election on 12 December.

MPs have just thrown out Boris Johnson’s latest attempt to force a  General Election on 12 December.

But tomorrow Mr Johnson might adopt a Liberal Democrat proposal for an even earlier general election, as long as the Government’s Withdrawal Bill is delayed too.

The European Union today confirmed their offer of yet another delay to Brexit  – this time until the end of January.

And this evening the Prime Minister formally – if grudgingly – accepted it.
