MPs quiz ITV bosses over Jeremy Kyle Show

For years, it was a staple of daytime television. But the Jeremy Kyle Show was cancelled by ITV last month after the death of a contributor.

This morning, there was the kind of brutal cross-examination and recriminations which used to be the programme’s stock-in-trade when senior ITV executives were questioned by MPs about their production process, duty of care and their treatment of vulnerable contributors.
