Mosul on brink of recapture from Islamic State group after three years

Iraqi forces say they’re on the brink of siezing full control of the Iraqi city of Mosul from militant Islamic State fighters – claiming they’ll capture the extremists’ last stronghold within hours. ISIS fighters have pledged to fight to the death. Around 20,000 civilians have been trapped in the fierce fighting, including air strikes by the US led coalition. We also spoke to spoke to Sara Alzawqari from the International Committee of the Red Cross – she was speaking from Erbil after returning from Mosul.
