Moped crimes stagnate as stop and searches increase

Now Scotland Yard says the alarming rise in moped crime may have reached its peak, revealing new high tech tactics they’re deploying to tackle it across the capital. They’ve doubled the number of stop and searches in the last few months as part of efforts to combat violent youth crime. 33 people aged under 25 have been stabbed to death in London this year.

The Met commissioner said local communities wanted even more searches, to help make the streets safer.
