Minister resigns as row over Cummings engulfs government’s coronavirus response

‘We can’t give the impression that there is one rule for some and another for the rest’.

‘He has undermined the essence of the Government’s stay at home messaging’.

‘He should do the honourable thing and resign’.

These are the words of Conservative MPs who are becoming increasingly furious that Dominic Cummings is still in his job.

The chorus of complaints has resulted in another day of Government ministers fending off allegations that Mr Cummings broke the lockdown rules when he drove his family to Durham in March.
