Millions pledged for Notre-Dame repair

After the fire, the future. Hundreds of millions of euros have been pledged to help repair Notre-Dame, with business tycoons, major companies and some of France’s richest families rallying to help with the mammoth task of restoring this most treasured symbol of French heritage.

Teams of experts are now surveying the structural risk to the cathedral, after the roof and spire were reduced to ashes, while a complex investigation is under way to find out exactly what caused the blaze.
