Members of the public give climate change solutions to MPs following ‘citizens’ assembly’

Here in Druridge Bay local campaigners are celebrating the success of their campaign to stop plans for a new open cast coal mine.

So could they inspire more people to act to tackle climate change?

There were plenty of practical suggestions of what to do in today’s report from the Citizens Assembly brought together to look at government policy.

And with devastating wildfires raging once again on America’s west coast, there’s no doubt that climate change remains an urgent question.
