May takes blame for election result

A humbled Theresa May has acknowledged to her own MPs that her future is in their hands, telling the Conservative back bench1922 Committee this evening she would serve” for as long as they want her”. And she took the blame for the election result, admitting: “I got us into this mess, and I’m the one who will get us out of it”. But tonight, it’s still not clear whether Theresa May will have signed a deal with Northern Ireland’s Democratic Unionist Party in time for the Queen’s Speech to go ahead as planned next Monday.
