Mark Drakeford accuses Boris Johnson of failing to protect people in England from Covid

Wales’ First Minister Mark Drakeford has defended keeping in place extra Covid restrictions in Wales – warning that the latest Omicron wave might not peak for at least another two weeks.

Mr Drakeford accused Boris Johnson of turning England into a “global outlier” by not introducing tougher measures there – claiming the Westminster government was “politically paralysed”.
