Manchester City overturn two-season European ban

Manchester City football club have had their two-season European ban overturned – imposed after UEFA found that they broke financial fair play rules.

The club had been found to have disguised millions of pounds in funds from their Abu Dhabi owners as sponsorship deals – which they have always vigorously denied.

But although the Court of Arbitration for Sport said City had failed to cooperate with the investigation, they were not guilty of the allegations against them.
