Local leaders disappointed as Greater Manchester remains in tier 3 Covid restrictions

In Greater Manchester, there’s huge disappointment that the strict Covid restrictions they have been living with for months are not being changed – even though infection rates have fallen significantly.

But there will be some extra help for those hardest hit by all the restrictions – the chancellor has extended the UK furlough scheme by another month, to the end of April.
