Liz Truss accused of ‘wasting taxpayers’ money’ over private flight to Australia

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has been accused by Labour of wasting taxpayers’ money after she flew on a private government jet to Australia.

Far cheaper commercial flights were available but the Foreign Office said she needed to be able to divert quickly if the situation in Ukraine deteriorated.
