Lifeboat crews save more than 100 lives in migrant crossings

The charity tasked with saving lives at sea has revealed that a third of all people saved by lifeboat crews in the UK and Ireland last year were those crossing the Channel in small boats.

The RNLI was called out to nearly 300 incidents involving migrants, and says that it saved 108 lives.
