Leading scientists fear easing lockdown too soon could lead to second wave of infections

With England still seeing thousands of Covid infections a day, leading scientists are concerned that relaxing the lockdown rules too soon is risky – and may lead to a second wave of infections.

 

Charities have also written to the government to warn that the most vulnerable who have been shielding since the lockdown began need more guidance.
