Leader of Armenia’s anti-government protests detained by police

The leader of Armenia’s anti-government protests has been detained by police – after Prime Minister Serge Sarkisian walked out of a televised meeting with him, accusing Nikol Pashinyan of blackmail.

It follows days of mass demonstrations which have swept the country… calling on Mr Sarkisian to resign for trying to maintain his grip on power. He was appointed prime minister two weeks after his ten-year term as president came to an end. Paul McNamara reports.
