Labour peer Lord Mandelson: Johnson ‘will manipulate timing of election to frustrate what we are doing to prevent no-deal Brexit’

The House of Lords could be in for a marathon session with scores of amendments to vote on, as government supporters launch a filibuster operation to stop the bill aimed at preventing no-deal from getting through.

Some peers turned up today armed with duvets and suitcases of overnight supplies.
