Labour MP Stella Creasy: ‘We can’t have the people who make the law on maternity leave not putting in place maternity leave for MPs’

The Labour MP Stella Creasy has said she feels she has to choose between politics and parenthood because MPs are not entitled to maternity leave.

She’s written movingly about the heartbreak of suffering two miscarriages and, now she’s pregnant once more, her terror of not only losing this baby, but also having to battle the parliamentary authorities for funds to cover her absence after giving birth.
