Public Health England has published its report which led to Leicester becoming the first city in Britain to face a new lockdown.

The city only started going back into lockdown yesterday and today Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer accused the Prime Minister of presiding over what he said was a “lost week”.

The Prime Minister insisted that action had been taken swiftly and defended the sharing of testing figures with local officials.
