Kherson: the terror of life on the front line of the war in Ukraine

Some parts of Ukraine have suffered much more than Kyiv.

The city of Kherson was one of the first to fall to Russian forces after the invasion began a year ago.

After more than 8 months of occupation, the Ukrainian forces retook the city – the Russians withdrawing to regroup across the Dnipro river.

But the euphoria of liberation has not lasted.
