Kent NHS trust pleads guilty over seven-day-old baby’s death

East Kent Hospitals Trust has pleaded guilty to failing to provide safe care and treatment for a mother and baby boy who died.

Harry Richford died a week after an emergency delivery in 2017.

It’s the first prosecution of its type and the trust say they have made significant changes as a result of the death, but the child’s parents say they’ve had to fight every step of the way to get to this point.
