Johnson’s parliament suspension plans see thousands protesting across UK

With the prospect of challenges in the courts and the Commons next week, the Prime Minister’s decision to suspend parliament faced opposition on the streets today.

Campaigners staged a number of demonstrations around the country, although turnouts varied. The marchers were encouraged by the Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn who made an appearance at an event in Glasgow.
