Johnson warns of ‘second wave’ in Europe – and suggests more travel restrictions could follow if necessary

The Prime Minister has raised the prospect of new quarantine restrictions on even more European countries if there’s a second wave of coronavirus cases.

Defending the decision to advise against all but essential travel to Spain as “swift and decisive”, Mr Johnson said it was his government’s duty to stop the disease being brought back to the UK.

But the Spanish Prime Minister called it an “error”.
