Johnson says contact tracing scheme will be in place from June

The Prime Minister has promised that a contact tracing scheme will be up and running by June 1st, the date the government wants to begin re-opening some English schools – claiming 25,000 tracers would be in place, able to track some 10,000 new coronavirus cases per day.

But it is still not clear when the NHS tracing app, currently being trialled on the Isle of Wight, will be ready to be rolled out too.
