Johnson pledges daily vaccination updates as Covid cases rise

Boris Johnson has promised daily updates on the vaccination programme from next week.

He confirmed the target of offering a vaccination to everyone in the top four priority groups – more than 13m people – by mid-February. And he said England’s new lockdown was made inevitable by government figures showing that more than 2% of the population is now infected with the virus.
