I’ve been treated as guilty until proved innocent, says young man acquitted of rape because Facebook messages weren’t disclosed

There’s been concern that prosecutors or police have failed to present crucial evidence to defence lawyers which has caused the collapse of a number of trials in recent months. Today a young man was acquitted of rape at Taunton Crown Court after the Crown Prosecution Service failed to hand over thousands of Facebook messages belonging to the alleged teenage victim.
