House of Commons speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle has said “words have consequences” after the leader of the opposition was jostled and abused near parliament yesterday.

Boris Johnson had falsely said Sir Keir Starmer failed to prosecute the paedophile Jimmy Saville.

Yesterday, the Labour leader faced angry protesters accusing him of ‘protecting paedophiles’.

We met some of the protesters to ask what they thought of Boris Johnson’s comments.
