Is shielding the vulnerable an alternative to lockdown?

We were joined by Prof Paul McKeigue, Professor of Genetic Epidemiology at the University of Edinburgh and one of the signatories of the Great Barrington Declaration, who believe lockdowns are not the answer.

They want protection for the most vulnerable, but say the young and healthy should get on with their lives.

We were also joined by Prof Martin McKee, professor of European Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

He’s also a member of the Independent Sage group of scientists who want much stricter measures in force.
