IS says it carried out Manila casino attack

Asia Correspondent

The militant Islamic State group says it carried out the attack on a casino and hotel in the Philippine capital Manila, which left at least 36 people dead. A gunman burst into the Resorts World complex last night, firing at random before setting fire to gambling tables and escaping with $2m in stolen casino chips. He then killed himself in a neighbouring hotel. Police insist there’s no evidence it was a terror attack.
