For the working-class heroin addicts on the streets of Edinburgh the party continues. Author Irvine Welsh’s latest installment is called ‘Dead Men’s Trousers’ with the protagonists now finding themselves in their 50s.

Krishnan Guru-Murthy spoke to Irvine Welsh and began by asking him what the gang are up to now.
