In Zimbabwe a week of protests and a brutal government crackdown have forced President Mnangagwa to curtail his trip to Davos and rush home. Zimbabweans have been protesting at dramatic fuel price hikes and more than 12 people have been killed in the violence.

The country’s High Court has also ordered that the internet should be restored after it was shut down by the state.┬áThe government says it will not stand by and watch violence and looting by protesters, but its response so far “is just a foretaste of things to come…”
