India hits 20 million Covid cases as Modi opposition demands lockdown

Calls are growing for a national lockdown in India, with the country’s opposition leader saying there’s simply no other way to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has so far resisted the move, fearing a massive economic impact.
