India: Half a million Covid-19 cases per day predicted as hospitals run out of oxygen

India’s Covid crisis is “beyond heartbreaking”, according to the World Health Organization, and it’s painfully obvious to see why: the patients dying for lack of oxygen, the doctors pleading for basic supplies, the bodies piling up at crematoriums, and still the infections are rising, in record numbers by the day.

Tonight one expert warns us that daily cases could soar as high as 900,000 by the time India reaches the peak of this devastating second wave. Mandakini Ghalot reports from Delhi.
