Hurricane Ida: At least 25 dead after flooding in New York and New Jersey

Record-shattering rainfall brought unprecedented flash flooding to New York City overnight, as the remnants of Hurricane Ida hit the east coast of the US.

States of emergency were declared by the governors of New Jersey and New York, and it’s being reported that at least 25 people have died.
