Hunt presses Saudi Arabia over Khashoggi death

The Saudi-led coalition’s air strikes on Yemen resumed this afternoon, just as the UK’s Foreign Secretary was trying to persuade the Saudis to commit to a political settlement and a ceasefire.

Before Jeremy Hunt met King Salman in Riyadh he said he also wanted the Saudis to cooperate fully with Turkey’s investigation into Jamal Khashoggi’s murder. Meanwhile the Turkish Foreign Minister has warned his western counterparts not to “cover up” the crime in order to preserve commercial ties.
