Hundreds of airstrikes hit Syria as Assad’s forces seek to take back control

Just eight days after a ceasefire was brokered between Russia and Turkey, the Syrian regime has intensified its bombardment of rebel-held areas in southern Idlib and Aleppo.  Over the last 48 hours hundreds of deadly air strikes have hit towns and villages along the main highway linking Aleppo with the city of Hama – as President Bashar al Assad’s forces seek to take back control.
