Huge swathes of western US battling some of worst wildfires in history

While there are torrential floods in the south, huge swathes of the western United States are still battling some of the worst wildfires in history – and now, some of the unhealthiest air pollution on the planet.

In Oregon, where the air quality is so bad, it’s literally off the scale, the state’s governor has declared a major disaster.
