How seals are being forced out of their home due to climate crisis

They travel hundreds of miles every year to give birth.

But for the harp seals who migrate to Canada’s Gulf of St. Lawrence to have their pups on thick platforms of sea ice – there’s literally no place to go.

Arctic regions are warming four times faster than the rest of the planet and it’s now the third year in a row when not enough stable and safe ice hasĀ  formed.

We’ve been to meet the marine biologist and photojournalist Jennifer Hayes to look at the fate of seals.
