Hospitality firms fear for future as three quarters of England under toughest Covid rules

Another 22 million people now living under Tier 4 restrictions, most of England is under virtual lockdown.

More than three quarters of the population is now in Tier 4 and has been told to stay at home, while almost everywhere else is in Tier 3.

All of mainland Scotland or Wales are in their highest tier, level 4, and Northern Ireland is in a six-week national lockdown.

While many beleaguered hospitality businesses face the prospect of keeping their doors shut for the foreseeable future, some outdoor attractions have had better luck.
