Homelessness Debate: a permanent home ‘only a dream’ for thousands of children

From the House of Commons is Conservative MP and former housing minister Grant Shapps – who himself slept rough for a night to better understand the issue.

And Labour’s Shadow Housing Minister, MP Melanie Onn,  who was homeless at 17 years old and put into emergency accommodation by a charity. In the studio is the Chief Executive of homeless charity Shelter, Polly Neate and from Birmingham is Mariam – a mother who appeared in our film.
