Home Secretary uses special powers to grant medical cannabis oil licence for 12-year-old with epilepsy

A 12-year-old boy with severe epilepsy can now be treated with medicinal cannabis oil – after the Home Secretary used special powers to grant a licence.

Charlotte Caldwell said they had ‘achieved the impossible’ after Billy’s six month supply was returned by customs officials who’d seized it at Heathrow. Paul McNamara reports.
