Higher taxes and spending in Labour manifesto

Political Editor

Jeremy Corbyn has launched Labour’s manifesto with pledges to make the richest pay more tax. Mr Corbyn said it would fund billions of pounds in new spending on education, health and social care, scrap university tuition fees and renationalise the railways, Royal Mail, and public utilities. Some critics called it a return to the 70s, whilst the IFS said it was back to 1950s levels of taxation.
