Hezbollah member found guilty of involvement in 2005 assassination of Lebanon’s former PM

A United Nations-backed tribunal has convicted one member of the Hezbollah militant group of planning the assassination of Lebanon’s former prime minister Rafik Hariri, 15 years ago.

But three others were acquitted – and the court found no evidence Hezbollah’s leadership or the Syrian government played a part in the attack.
