Heatwave takes its toll on farmers

The wildfires which burned through moorlands in northern England have mostly been put out, but more fires are expected, and the relentless heatwave is still taking its toll. The thermometer could soar above the mid-30s later this week, and farmers in particular are concerned. Many crops are parched and livestock are suffering, with supplies of feed and water running short.
