Green campaigners set ultimatum for UK government

The government’s been accused of using green issues as a “political football” in an open letter signed by more than 50 environmental groups.

The campaigners warn the Prime Minister that they could mobilise more than 20 million supporters against any attacks on green policy.

It comes as London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone became a key battleground in last week’s Uxbridge by-election.
