Government orders probe into Carillion bosses

After a massive corporate failure, the search for answers. Ministers are demanding a “fast-tracked and expanded” investigation into whether bosses at the construction firm Carillion caused it to collapse. They want the inquiry to include all former directors, and to examine whether any detriment was caused to creditors or pension scheme members. It’s thought up to 30,000 small businesses which dealt with Carillion contracts could be owed cash, with unpaid bills which could go back months.
