Government considering plans to scrap self-isolation for people with two Covid jabs

The Government has confirmed it is considering plans to scrap the self-isolation requirement for people who are fully vaccinated if they take daily tests instead – this comes against a backdrop of soaring new cases across the UK. Leading doctors have urged ministers to keep some restrictions in force in England after July 19th, including the continuation of wearing masks indoors.

There have been just under 25,000 new infections recorded in the last 24 hours and the number of people in hospital has gone up by a quarter over the last week.
