Gove apologises for Weinstein remarks and Corbyn condemns alleged abuse in Westminster

The environment secretary Michael Gove has apologised after he made a joke about Harvey Weinstein on Radio 4’s Today Show.

Mr Gove, who was roundly criticised by fellow MPs – claimed it had been a “clumsy attempt at humour”.

Meanwhile, the Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn addressed the allegations of sexual harrassment in Westminster – saying that any MPs who abused or harassed women must be held to account.
