Goldsmith Uni’s beef with farmers over burger ban

Farmers have reacted with anger after it was announced students at one university will see beef removed from their menus when they return for the new term next month.

Goldsmiths, which is part of the University of London, wants to be carbon neutral by 2025. Banning beef and charging students extra for using plastic cups and bottles is part of that drive.
